General Opening Statement by Senior Counsel to the Inquiry (PDF 368KB)

At the Inquiry opening on Monday 20 February 2011, it was indicated that the General Medical Council's inquiries in relation to Dr. D. Hanrahan were continuing. The Inquiry recognises that this was an error and now states for the record that the GMC closed its inquiries in relation to Dr. D. Hanrahan in October 2010. The opening statement by Senior Counsel to the Inquiry and the transcript have been amended accordingly. The correct position has been inserted at para 141 of the opening statement by Senior Counsel to the Inquiry.
